2025 SWG Honors Nominations Open

The Society of Woman Geographers invites nominations from members in good standing for three special awards for those who have shown excellence and achievement commensurate with the objectives of the Society: the Gold Medal, the Outstanding Achievement Award, and the Ronne Award.

These awards will be presented by the Society’s President as a special part of the Centennial Celebration Oct. 9-13, 2025.

Nominations must be thoroughly documented so that the nominee’s qualifications and special achievements can be judged fairly. Each nomination is made for one award only.

More than one of each award has been given in the same year, and the awards need not be given if no suitable nomination has been put forward.

The deadline for receipt of nominations is June 2, 2025. Please click here to complete the form online or download the form and submit by email to admin@iswg.org. Hard copy submissions can be mailed to our office, please ensure they are postmarked in time to arrive by June 2, 2025.
