Lunch: Order from menu Cost: $20 each (to cover your lunch, tax gratuity, speaker’s lunch) NOVEMBER MEETING – Agenda 1l:00 a.m. Arrival, Socializing 11:15 a.m. SWG Updates 11:30 a.m. Program Presentation: Empowering Women in Bengal, India Through Micro-Loans presented by Dorothy Drummond Geographer and Author. Using the methods developed by Nobel prize winner Mohammed Yunis in Bangladesh, two Indian Americans have established a Micro-Loan program to help women help themselves in West Bengal, India. The presenter accompanied the two donors for eight days, as they visited villages in rural areas north of Calcutta. She has documented how their vision and aid is enabling women to help their families through entrepreneurism. 12:30 p.m. Lunch and Socializing This meeting is open to guests, however, we are limited to 16-18 people Please respond (yes or no) by Wednesday, November 15th Judy Bock (judyil@aol.com) Transportation CTA – check CTA website for routes Metra + Taxi or Bus Auto – Kennedy - exit east on Randolph. Parking – free, but tricky to find; contact Judy Bock if you need directions for parking. Parking is under the Lake Shore Drive ramp.
